We will begin the tour at 5:00 AM by picking you up from your hotel and driving over the Sacred Valley Mountains. This early morning drive to the Ollantaytambo train stations will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, where you will board the Vista dome train at 6:35 AM, departing at 7:05 AM. The train journey, lasting about 2 hours, will take you from the Andes to the Cloud Forest.
Upon arrival at the Machu Picchu Train station, our tour guide will be waiting to take you on a 5-minute walk to the shuttle bus station. The 30-minute bus ride will bring you to Machu Picchu, where we’ll begin a comprehensive 3-hour tour of the ancient Inca citadel with our private guide. You’ll have ample time for photos and enjoyment.
In the late afternoon, you’ll head back to Machu Picchu town to optionally explore the local handcraft market and hot springs (bring your bathing suit if interested).
